Chronic Asthma relieved by simple foods:
I was asthmatic since April, 1985. I was told by a pulmonary specialist I would have to take breathing pills for the rest of my life and that I had emphysema. I took 300 Slo-Bid and Albertol every eight hours. In December, 1988, I consulted with Francois Roland about my condition and specific do’s and don’ts were discussed. Later that month I took 4 cooking classes with Francois in which I learned about grains, veg. & beans for protein, and wonderful miso. I showed an improvement almost immediately, and medication was reduced.
Again in May & June 1989, I took 4 more cooking classes, by which time I had made a routine of thinking which foods to buy, bought them, found the stores to shop, and then cooked.
As of the beginning of July, I took no more breathing pills, could clean, work in the garden, and live as a normally healthy person. I have macrobiotics and God to thank, for putting these foods at our disposal, for all my energy.
I haven’t felt this good for a very long time and wish all those in poor health to feel as I do.
